Who am I?

I'm Anna Burns. I've coached people, one-to-one and in groups since 1995. I've a Master's degree in Nutrition Science and a passion for helping people to attain optimal health and wellbeing.

I've published two books and innumerable articles on Nutrition and Health; guested on The Late Late Show; had a weekly nutrition and health slot on the Pat Kenny radio show; was features article writer for Irish News & Media; guest regularly on numerous radio shows; have been a voice on nutrition & weight-loss for decades.

Today, in my fifties, I can safely say, I've never been stronger, fitter or more motivated than I am right now to empower you, at middle age, to take hold of your health, gain back your vitality and become the fit, healthy you that you once were and can be again.

Diets don’t work

Severe calorie restriction, of course, works in the short-term. You get immediate results. You feel great. For a while!

Then, reality kicks in, you eat more normally; the weight piles back on and you feel de-motivated, disappointed and depressed, understandably.

The problem with dieting lies in the damage it does, not only to your self-esteem, but to your metabolism. The more severe the diet and drastic the results, the more active muscle tissue you lose. You are diminishing your power house; your battery; your metabolism. Weight gain is almost inevitable.
